Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 And Fold 5 Receive One UI 6 Based on Android 14
According to a report by SamMobile, Verizon Wireless users in the US have started receiving the latest One UI 6 update. The new Android 14 update is making its debut on the latest folding phones in the region.
Furthermore, the update will soon arrive on other carriers in the US soon. It is interesting that carrier-locked devices are getting the taste of the latest Android version before their unlocked counterparts.
Moreover, Samsung has not confirmed when the Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 will get the Android 14 update for other countries and carriers.
The Android 14 update brings many new features for the folding phones, including a new Quick Settings design, Bixby Text Calls, changes to the user interface and more.
The Latest OneUI 6 Update Is 3GB In Size
This Android 14 update with firmware version F731USQU1BWK9 has a significant size of 3GB for the Z Fold 5 and Flip 5. We highly recommend downloading through a Wi-Fi network and having at least 50 per cent battery in your phone.
The latest One UI 6 update with Android 14 also arrives with the November 2023 security patch, although Samsung released it last month for the Z Flip 5 and Fold 5. It claims to fix over 65 security vulnerabilities found in the previous patch.
Other devices, such as the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, Samsung Galaxy S23 series and Samsung Galaxy A54, have already received the update. The South Korean giant plans to update its smartphone lineup to Android 14 by the end of this year.
