Xiaomi has finally confirmed that it will launch the Redmi Note 13 series in China later this month. The Note 13 lineup will have three devices: Xiaomi Redmi Note 13, Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro and Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus. The company has posted a teaser on Weibo highlighting some of the camera specifications and the processor.
Redmi Note 13 Series To Arrive In China Soon
According to the poster, the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus will be a collaboration between Samsung, Redmi and MediaTek. The phone will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra, a new processor based on the 4nm architecture. This octa-core chipset consists of two Cortex A715 and six Cortex A510 cores running at 2.8GHz. Furthermore, it has the ARM Mali-G610 GPU and a power-efficient AI APU 650 processor.
The phone’s main highlight is the 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP3 Discovery Edition sensor. It is the same camera found in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus with a 1/1.4-inch sensor with improved processing for better image clarity. Redmi claims it is the fastest 200-megapixel camera on a smartphone. The Redmi Note 12 Pro will also sport a 200-megapixel sensor this year. While there is no confirmation, the phone could ship with an 8-megapixel ultrawide and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
The company claims it has collaborated with MediaTek to improve its image processing capabilities and optimize the software and hardware. The Redmi Note 13 series could “push the limits of imaging capabilities for affordable smartphones,” according to Lu Weibeing, Redmi’s General Manager. It will offer new imaging technologies like “bionic perception” and “fusion optics” for a better photography experience.
Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus Expected Specifications
Other expected specifications of the Note 13 Pro series include a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution. It could come with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Both devices will run on MIUI 15 on top of Android 13.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus will have the MediaTek 7200 Ultra, whereas the Pro will sport the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. The 13 Pro will weigh 187 grams, whereas the 13 Pro+ will weigh around 203.96 grams.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro and Note 13 Pro Plus will have 5,120mAh and 4,880mAh batteries, respectively. The Pro will support 67W fast charging, whereas the Pro Plus will offer 120W fast charging. Xiaomi has not confirmed any launch date for the Redmi Note 13 series apart from a line that says, “See you this month,” so we won’t have to wait long to get all the details.
