Family style, but memory grows and the screen has 90Hz
The shots come from the Vietnamese magazine Zing News, and portray a Pixel 7a that has a lot in common with its older brothers. The horizontal bar that houses the cameras is in fact made of metal instead of glass as for the Pixel 6a, and its thickness seems to be less, probably due to the type of optics and image sensors chosen.
The front of the Pixel 7a doesn’t appear to have strayed from the thick bezels of its predecessor, and the screen could also be the same 6.1-inch OLED made by Samsung.
Before the phone was remotely locked, the Pixel 7a user confirmed the 90Hz screen refresh rate. Zing News also reported that the two rear cameras are 12MP.
n previous rumors there was also talk of a camera with a telephoto lens: a feature that had raised some doubts considering that the Pixel 7 doesn’t have one, and its presence on the cheaper Pixel 7a would have made little sense.
Despite Google’s block, the Pixel 7a was found to have 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM via fastboot access, while the Pixel 6a has 6GB of memory.
Obviously there is the USB-C port and the card tray is single SIM. The Pixel 7a is also expected to stick with the new Tensor G2 processor seen in the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
