It was the first mobile phone in history even if its nickname ”brick phone” or ”brick phone” did not give it the charm it perhaps deserved. The idea was to have a functional but portable telephone and the Motorola Dynatac X8000X somehow addressed this request by actually offering wireless functionality but with some peculiarities that immediately made it uncomfortable: weight, size and cost.
