Motorola DynaTAC 8000X – the ancestor of the iPhone

The Motorola DynaTAC 8000X was practically the size of a shoe box but above all it weighed almost a kilogram and cost the beauty of 3,995 dollars which today is practically equivalent to 10,000 euros. However, it was the first real portable mobile phone and in its commercial life it immediately became a status symbol with over 300,000 units sold above all to business customers.

It clearly possessed all unenviable characteristics when compared with current smartphones but in fact it was a real revolution in the field of telephony. Yes, because until then we had always been used to having at most radiotelephones present in cars or even connected to a heavy suitcase that always and in any case had to be carried around.
