Very often we hear that letting your phone run down completely before putting it in charge helps it last longer: nothing could be more wrong! Waiting for your phone to fully discharge before plugging it in again is a very bad habit and could damage your phone’s battery in the long run. Waiting for the mobile phone to reach its minimum charge levels – or even for it to switch off – to connect it to the power socket and let it charge to the maximum, ends up subjecting the phone to severe thermal stress, risking irreparable damage.
Also considering the fact that not all smartphones allow for battery replacement, it would therefore be advisable to avoid giving in to these “false myths” so as not to find yourself in a short time with a device that is anything but performing.
