Google is prepared to begin manufacturing the Google Pixel 8 smartphone in India. According to a rumour, the corporation would have the smartphone produced by a local contract manufacturer. The phone was introduced in October of last year. And the first batch of Made in India Pixel 8 smartphones is anticipated to be delivered soon.
Dixon Technologies To Manufacture Pixel 8 In India
Google’s flagship Pixel 8 will soon be made in India in partnership with Indian company Dixon Technologies, a local contract manufacturer. Nonetheless, Dixon Technologies is preparing for a monthly manufacturing capacity of 100,000 units.
According to an Economic Times (ET) report, Dixxon Technologies stated that the first batch of phones built in India would be accessible in the market by September because trial manufacturing has recently begun.
The Google Pixel 8 currently retails in India for Rs.75,999 for the base variant. However, after local manufacturing begins, the phone is likely to get cheaper for the Indian audience.
Specifications Of The Phone
The Google Pixel 8, which will be made in India, will arrive with 256GB of internal storage and up to 12GB of RAM. It is powered by the Tensor G3 CPU and boasts a 6.2-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The flagship phone’s 50-megapixel main camera uses a Samsung GN2 sensor. Moreover, the phone has a 12-megapixel and 64-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.
It boasts a 4,575mAh battery, enabling wireless and 27W wired charging. The Google Pixel 8 is available in India in Hazel, Mint, Obsidian and Rose colours.
