The Apple iPhone 16 series is one of this year’s most anticipated flagship smartphones, and rumours surrounding the lineup refuse to die down. Furthermore, the iPhone 16 Pro models are expected to bring significant upgrades in display, performance and camera. Here is everything you need to know about all the leaks and changes that you can expect in the Apple iPhone 16 Pro series
iPhone 16 Pro To Bring 4 New Camera Features
A new report by 9to5Mac suggests the upcoming Apple iPhone 16 Pro will offer four new camera upgrades. The iPhone 16 Pro and Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max will boast a new 48-megapixel ultrawide-angle lens for better details and colours.
This will upgrade from the 12-megapixel ultrawide lens on the Apple iPhone 15 Pro and the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max. Furthermore, the report claims it will improve the photos in low-light scenarios and provide better spatial video recording support.
The iPhone 16 Pro series will pack impressive zoom capabilities, with up to 5x optical and 25x digital zoom. Moreover, the company could introduce a “periscope ultra-long telephoto combination” with more than 5x zoom.
16 Pro To Feature Anti-Reflective Coating
Furthermore, the new iPhones will boast a new anti-reflective coating that will reduce lens flares when capturing photos in bright environments. The Cupertino giant plans to use a new “atomic layer deposition” ALD lens for the iPhone 16 Pro lineup.
This means you won’t face artefacts and lens flare when taking photos on the iPhone 16 Pro series. Moreover, the iPhone 16 Pro series will also offer a new primary camera sensor with a Sony lens for better low-light photography.
The company will likely use stacked sensor technology, which allows for capturing more light than traditional sensors. However, the report states there is no clarity on whether Apple will use the next-generation Sony sensor on the iPhone 16 Pro series.
