Samsung has announced it’s rolling out the One UI 6.1 update to its older devices. The update also brings Galaxy AI features and Google’s Circle To search functionality to these older phones. Initially announced with the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, the company is rolling out these features to its older phones. Here is everything you need to know about the One UI 6.1 update.
One UI 6.1 Update Features
The Samsung One UI 6.1 update brings many new features, such as Galaxy AI and Circle To Search. The circle-to-search feature, currently limited to the Samsung Galaxy S24 series and the Google Pixel phones, allows users to search for anything by drawing a circle around it.
Galaxy AI is a new AI companion that Samsung introduced with the S24 series. It offers features like live translation, which can translate calls in real-time. Depending on the scenario, you can also enable Chat Assist, which can make your conversation cooler or more professional.
Note Assist is also available in the One UI 6.1 update. It shows an AI summary of any note you have created. Similarly, the Transcript Assist feature can summarize and translate recordings on your phone.
Another feature called Generative Edit can remove shadows, objects and reflections from an image. It also adds AI-generated wallpapers to older phones.
