OnePlus is planning to launch the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R in India on January 23. While the OnePlus 12 has already made its debut in China, the 12R is likely to be a rebrand of the OnePlus Ace 3.
The Ace 3 will launch in China on January 4 and could arrive globally as the OnePlus 12R. Ahead of the official release, OnePlus has teased the specifications for the OnePlus 12R.
OnePlus 12R Display And Battery Details Confirmed
According to the teaser on the official website, the OnePlus 12R specifications reveal that it will have a 120Hz ProXDR panel with four-generation LTPO support. The LTPO 4.0 panel can dynamically adjust the refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz depending on the content for better smoothness and power efficiency.
LTPO 4.0 also supports 90Hz and 72Hz instead of the earlier set refresh rate. Furthermore, the phone will have a 5,500mAh battery, the largest battery on the OnePlus phone. This will also make it the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone with such a large battery.
In addition, the OnePlus 12R specifications confirm it will also have SUPERVOOC charging support with Battery Health Engine technology to preserve battery health for a longer period.
The OnePlus 12R will be available for purchase in Iron Grey and Cool Blue colours. It will likely have the same design as the OnePlus 11R, with the alert slider on the left instead of the right.
Expected Specifications Of The Phone
The OnePlus 12R leaked specifications mention it will sport a 6.78-inch ProXDR AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and LTPO 4.0 support.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset will power the phone paired with up to 16GB of RAM. It will likely run on Oxygen OS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box and will have up to 256GB of storage.
For optics, the OnePlus 12R leaked specifications suggest it will boast a 50-megapixel Sony IMX 890 sensor and an 8-megapixel ultrawide angle lens. In addition, there will be a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.
The OnePlus 12R will pack a 5,500mAh battery with support for 100W SUPERVOOC charging. It will likely have a price tag of around Rs.40,000 to Rs.42,000 in India.
