Vivo X200 First Camera Sample Released

Vivo is expected to unveil the Vivo X200 in China on 14 Oct. Ahead of the event, Vivo China product manager Han Boshao has released the first sample of the camera, showing off its telephoto camera capabilities. In addition, a new tweet from tipster Digital Chat Station reveals information about the X200’s camera specs.

According to Boxiao, the above camera sample has two highlights. First, it showcases the X200’s ability to capture with 10x zoom at night using the new telephoto lens. Secondly, it also gives a look at the new moon mode. Boxiao said that the moon shown in the image has been artistically modified.
The above leak by tipster Digital Chat Station reveals that the Vivo X200’s triple camera setup will include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary camera with an f/1.57 aperture and a 1/1.56-inch camera sensor size. It is coupled with a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 (or LYT-600) periscope telephoto camera with an f/2.57 aperture and 70mm focal length. The leak claims that the phone supports a 10x fusion super-resolution algorithm, which probably hints at 10x hybrid zoom.

The tipster claimed in the leak’s comments section that this model will have a 6.78-inch OLED display. As is known, the device will be equipped with the Dimensity 9400 chipset, which is yet to go official. The device may have a 5,800mAh battery that can support 90W fast charging, but it is unlikely to be equipped with wireless charging support. It is expected to come preloaded with Origin OS 5-based Android 15. The range reportedly includes three other models such as the smaller vivo X200, vivo X200 Pro and vivo X200 Ultra. the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4-powered Ultra model is likely to be launched next year, while the other two D9400-powered models are expected to be unveiled alongside the X200 next month.

Vivo X200 Gets 3C Certification in China: Fast Charging Support

Vivo X200 is expected to be launched in November 2023 the successor to the Vivo X100 series launched this year in China. Presumably, the so-called smartphone in the series was launched along with two other models in the series. The Vivo X200 was reportedly spotted on a Chinese authentication website prior to its debut, confirming its release along with key battery specifications. This development is based on earlier claims which suggested that it could have features like the Dimente 9400 SOC and a 50MP primary camera.

Vivo X200 3C Certification in China
According to a Gizmochina report, a listing for Vivo X200 was discovered on the China Compulsory Certification (CCC), otherwise known as 3C– a mandatory safety assessment which devices must go through before getting permission to enter the China market. The listing suggests that it may sport the model number V2415A and may be equipped with 90W wired fast charging capabilities. Notably, the Vivo X200 was reportedly also spotted on the IMEI website with a similar model number – Vivo V2415. While its launch date has not been officially confirmed, reports suggest it could debut in the latter half of October, along with purported Vivo X200+ and X200 Pro handsets.

Vivo X200 Specifications (Expected)
As per earlier reports, the Vivo X200 could have a 6.3-inch flat display with 1.5K resolution. In terms of optics, it may come with a triple rear camera setup that includes a large 50MP primary sensor and a periscope camera with 3x optical zoom, 70mm focal length and macro capabilities. It is also tilted and powered by the 9400 chipset under the hood. Supporting the Vivo X200 could be a 5,500mAh or 5,600mAh “mega” battery with wireless charging support.


There have also been recent leaks of a supposed virtual unit for the phone, which suggests its design could be similar to its predecessor. The camera appears to be centrally placed in a circular module. Its right spine could feature power and volume buttons. The bottom of the smartphone could feature a USB Type-C port, speaker grill, SIM tray slot and a microphone.
